How Time Flies

The last two months have been crazy. Warren and I had a condo showing on December 27 resulting in an offer that we accepted on December 31. The conditions were signed off on January 8 and we then had three weeks to pack and move so that the new owners could take possession on January 29.

To top it all off, we also needed to find a new home to move into. Our wish list was pretty straight forward: at least three bedrooms, two bathrooms, open concept, attached garage, nice yard, close to transit and my folks. I know they say third times a charm. For us it was house #30 that finally hit home. We got everything we were looking for and more: vaulted ceilings, main floor den, air conditioning and central vac. And the best part was our timing. We got a great price, interest rates dropped, and then to top it off the government came out with their home reno tax break. We take possession on Friday and are pretty thrilled.

So for the last few weeks we have been crashing at my parent's home while they were on vacation and are now nicely settled in. Our current plan is to get all the major renos we want done before we move in - flooring and painting is just so much easier without furniture!

Seeing Ada everyday I often take for granted how quickly she is growing and changing but my Grandma reminded me of that last night - Grandma was our valentine's date for Ada and I as we needed to pick up my parents from the airport at midnight. Since Christmas she has gotten bigger (obviously), but is teething significantly (although hasn't yet actually cut a tooth), stands & sits with assistance for balance, has a mighty strong grasp, talks a lot, has much more frequent giggle fits and is overall just much more active.
